"Mama" - from the album "The Season Of Love"
(Michael Tolf)
This is another song that came to me while on was on my school bus.
I was playing around with the groove & the chords...and then the words started to come.
I had no idea what I was singing about, until the word's "Mama" came out of my mouth. By then, I figured it had something to do with Moms & their kids.
I am not a big country fan, and definitely not a country artist...however, this song is as country as I get. I think it's a pretty cute song...and it has a good message.
Way to go Moms!!
Growing up is hard to do
Without love - you just can't make it through
I was blessed to have someone - who knew my needs and still had time for fun
In my mind
I can see her now
Doing the best that she knew how
Mama - please forgive me
If I took your love for granted
Mama - come sit beside me
There are things I want to know
Mama - you always taught me by what you said and did
Mama - our lives have changed now...but I still need you so
Living life from day to day
Time rushes on
I forget to say
How proud I am to be the one - that you can count on till your days are done
When I think about the times we've shared
I'm so grateful you were there
Mama - please forgive me
If I took your love for granted
Mama - come sit beside me
There are things I want to know
Mama - you always taught me by what you said and did
Mama - our lives have changed now
But I still need you...
