This song was born while I was sitting on my school bus (my day job), in Marysville, WA.
I often take my guitar with me when I go on a field trip, and I had it with me that day. I discovered a "new chord" - new to me anyhow...obviously, it's been around for years.
I liked the chord - it's the opening chord to the song. It sounded haunting and meditative to me...so, I began to write and experiement with chord progressions.
The lyrical phrase that kept coming to my mind was...in this quiet place. That seemed to be the foundation for the song.
It took about a month of writing and praying for the song to be complete. And now it's one of my personal favorites.
